Top Gear crea un conflicto diplomático
El conflicto diplomático entre Top Gear y la India se produce a raíz de su sorna sobre las condiciones higiénicas del país. En un reportaje del especial de Navidad, Jeremy Clarkson y sus chicos realizaron una ruta por la India con un Jaguar XJS. Hasta ahí todo normal.
El problema vino cuando Top Gear instaló un retrete en el maletero del Jaguar y se pronunciaron las palabras «Todo el mundo sabe que el que va a la India termina con diarrea».
Debido a esta ‘perlita’, representantes del Gobierno hindú solicitan que, tanto la BBC como el gobierno británico, pidan disculpas.
La realidad es que este es uno más de los incidentes provocados por las poco ortodoxas formas de Top Gear y su presentador estrella, Jeremy Clarkson. A este conflicto hay que añadir otros, como el que tuvo en su día con el gobierno mexicano por atacar a uno de sus deportivos y calificarlo de perezoso, adjetivo que también ‘dedicó’ a la población mexicana.
