Siri para Chevrolet
A principios del próximo año, la versión estadounidense del Chevrolet Spark y el Aveo (conocido como Sonic en EEUU) integrarán Siri, el asistente inteligente que ayuda a hacer las cosas con solo pedírselo. Chevrolet lo ha anunciado en el Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Los Ángeles.
Mediante el sistema de información y ocio Chevrolet MyLink incluido de serie en estos modelos, los clientes con un iPhone compatible (4S o versiones posteriores) e iOS 6 pueden indicar a Siri que haga diversas tareas mientras conducen de forma segura manteniendo la vista en la carretera y las manos en el volante. Para reducir aún más las distracciones, Siri lleva la función de manos libres más allá con el modo Eyes Free, que permite al usuario interactuar con su iPhone simplemente con la voz y sin que la pantalla del dispositivo se ilumine.
El conductor solo tiene que conectar su iPhone a la radio de MyLink por Bluetooth, enlazarlo con el sistema y usar el botón de activación de voz del volante para iniciar y terminar sesiones de Siri en modo Eyes Free.
En Estados Unidos, los propietarios de un Spark o un Aveo/Sonic RS pueden usar Siri en modo Eyes Free para:
Hacer llamadas activadas por voz y con manos libres a contactos del iPhone
Reproducir canciones de la biblioteca de iTunes, e incluso cambiar de fuente automáticamente, pasando de la radio AM/FM/XM al modo iPod
Escuchar, redactar y enviar mensajes de iMessage o de texto a un número de teléfono o a cualquier persona de la aplicación Contactos
Acceder a la aplicación Calendario y añadir citas
Reducir aún más las distracciones evitando que la pantalla del iPhone se ilumine, incluso cuando Siri responde a preguntas sencillas, como resultados deportivos o fechas de festivos nacionales
En modo Eyes Free, Siri no responde a preguntas complejas que requieran mostrar una página web
