Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), fabricante de automóviles Subaru, anunció la obtención de 5 estrellas en Seguridad en el Nuevo Programa de Valoración para Autos Nuevos en Japón JNCAP para su modelo Legacy.
En Japón, el Ministerio de Tierra, Infraestructura, Transportes y Turismo junto a NASVA (Agencia Nacional para Seguridad Automotriz y de Víctimas) cada año hace evaluaciones de autos nuevos, probando varios factores de desempeño en seguridad en colisiones para peatones, como por ejemplo «Pliegue Completo en Colisión Frontal».
Y el modelo Legacy de Subaru alcanzó el más alto ranking para los asientos de conductor y pasajero.
Además, obtuvo los mejores puntajes por su completo desempeño de seguridad en colisiones para los ítems medidos; «Protección de la Cabeza y Piernas en Peatones» «Prevención de Lesiones en Cuello de Pasajero Delantero», «Colisión Lateral» y «Colisión Frontal Fuera del Centro». «Confidence in Motion» resume «Placer y Confianza», que al mismo tiempo, es lo que FHI busca ofrecer.
Otros equipamientos de seguridad que esta compañía ofrece en muchos de sus modelos son Symmetrical All Wheel Drive, motor Boxer, Control de Estabilidad (VDC) y equipamiento de norma en todos los modelos.
